When it comes to starting a photography business, it’s easy to look around and think that everyone else has got it sussed. But we all started somewhere and I think that most creatives would agree that we all still grapple with our confidence from time to time. But there are ways to take those first tentative steps towards your goals and move beyond the comfort zone of photographing family members. 1. Offer a photo shoot to your Friends

2. Second-shoot for or assist another photographer

3. Shoot for the experience (within reason!)

4. manage people’s expectations

5. Own it!
