Hi I’m Suzie, I’m a photography mentor, teacher and author.
A soul-searching mum of two, putting my best foot forward to find passion and purpose from a gut-busting, heart-bursting life of parenting after loss.
In my day to day life, I write and take photos for the simple reason that it makes me feel better to do this.
Creativity is an essential part of my self-care.
Like many, my journey to motherhood has been far from straightforward, as I’ve lost more babies than I’ve taken home.
In 2020 I wrote a book, The Rallying Cry : Healing the Hardest Parts of Life through Creativity. It was my way of making sense of profound grief and heartache. A chance for me to wave my flag of hope and put into words that not only is it possible to feel human again after devastating loss, but that it’s actually possible to become the very best version of yourself, and thrive.
When returning to your old life isn’t an option, it’s my belief that creativity holds the key to moving forward.
Finding passion and purpose can unlock the parts of us that struggle. But I get it. Through the crazy, plate-spinning, ball-juggling days of motherhood, it can feel impossible to find time.
But when we do, we become better equipped to cope with whatever life decides to throw our way. So maybe it’s less about finding time for creativity, but more about…making time?
I’ve been running my photography business for over ten years but these days I have a new life mission: To support others to embrace creativity and uncover the truest version of themselves. My work is rooted in self-compassion, imperfect efforts and our endless evolution through learning.
I believe that life is too precious not to do the things that light us up and if you’re looking for a gentle nudge in that direction, you’ve come to the right place.
Thank you for stopping by, I’m so glad you’re here.
