QUICK TONE CURVE TIPS

When you first start using Lightroom to edit your photos, the software can feel a little like a wild, untamed horse. The tools are so powerful. I think a softly, softly approach works well for beginner photographers still getting to grips with the basics. The more confident you get, the more ambitious and adventurous you can become with your edits. Until then, I’m a less is more kinda gal.

I’ve always preferred a natural edit anyway, staying faithful to the memory of the moment but reserving the right to enhance the mood a little. This just helps me honour how it felt.

The tone curve is one area of Lightroom that can often feel a little overwhelming. With this in mind, here are some simple tips to hopefully help you on your way.
