With self-paced video content and digital downloads as well as tasks to guide you towards key learning outcomes, this course will get you shooting creatively and expressing yourself artistically, using just your iPhone.
Hi, I’m Suzie and I’ve been running a photography business and teaching for over ten years.
I’m parenting after loss and a mum to two wild and wonderful girls. Most days I’m walking the line between smothering them with kisses and wanting to tear my hair out.
And some days I just want to escape my responsibilities. To have five minutes where my mind is my own again. My back aches from carrying the just-in-case things that haven’t been needed and I wonder if stepping out the house has always felt this hard.
There’s so no denying the transformative power of creativity but with my little ones in tow, these days I simply haven’t got the same amount of time, or headspace for it. So if I want to take photos regularly, it has to be quick and easy.
I know what it’s like to feel as though the big camera is one more thing than you can manage that day, but the good news is, you truly don’t need it.
Thankfully, you can have a very simple camera and take wonderful photos. Because in all honesty, photography is less about learning the camera and more about learning to see.
Knowing where to look for great photos will save you a tonne of time not just in shooting, but editing too.
So let’s simplify your equipment and grow your creativity.
Here’s what’s included
Bitesized video content (because I know how busy you are)
Downloadable help sheets
Editing presets to use with Lightroom Mobile
Audio content to listen to on the go
Manageable tasks to get you taking action
…because let’s face it, it’s the doing not the thinking that gets you moving forward.
Imagine…
finding quick and easy ways to take expressive, soulful photos
creating a more mindful approach to your day
being able to fit photography around your parenting responsibilities
knowing where to look for great photos, so you can shoot a few frames with intention, rather than ending up with multiple versions of the same shot, none of which are quite hitting the spot
building your creative muscle with minimal effort
reigniting your passion to shoot frequently
coming away with transferable knowledge that will improve your big camera shooting & editing
taking the overwhelm out of Lightroom Mobile to help you make confident editing choices quickly
creating little moments of calm in an otherwise busy day

FAQs
Who is this course for?
If you have an interest in photography and take the odd great photo, but you're not sure why it worked or how to replicate it, I can help. Together we’ll get you shooting more mindfully to consistently start to get the shots you’re hoping for.
Or perhaps you’re a more experienced shooter, who's simply fallen out of love with photography. I’ve been where you are many times over, and this course exists for people like us! If you’re struggling to find the time or motivation to shoot personal work, for whatever reason, my hope is that this course will inspire and get you moving in the right direction.
Does it have to be an iPhone?
Not necessarily. There are plenty of similarities between smart phone makes and there's usually a work around for each function. Whilst we will be covering some technical aspects of photography, we won’t be spending a lot of time getting technical with our equipment, so you don’t need the latest release. Your phone is just a tool. Your vision, and the way you’ll begin to see and understand light, colour and composition, will be the most important thing.
How much photography knowledge do I need?
This course doesn’t assume any existing knowledge, but equally, there will be content and tasks to push the more experienced shooters. We’ll be covering some of the fundamental technical aspects of photography that will get you to slow down, simplify your process and shoot with greater intention and accuracy.
We’ll be covering the most useful tools of Lightroom Mobile too, so don’t worry if you’ve little or no experience there.
Do I need a Lightroom subscription to take part?
Lightroom offer a free version of their editing app which includes most of the tools we’ll be covering. Upgrading would allow you access to all of the tools and features Lightroom offers, but it’s not necessary for this course.
How long can I access the course material for?
You’ll continue to have access to all the material for as long as it continues to run. You’ll be able to come back again and again, as often as you need.
Will there be any one to one support available?
Whilst the course is self-paced, I’m always available via email to support, answer questions and troubleshoot any issues.
What if I change my mind?
